Pentagon Delivers a Poetic New Track with Japanese Single "Shh"

South Korean boy band Pentagon released its new Japanese digital single "Shh" on Wednesday, marking their first release of the year in Japan. The bright and rhythmic track was written and produced by member Kino, and is the perfect addition to the upcoming summer season.

The title of the track in Japanese refers to a "poem," which aptly describes the nature of the song's lyrics. The members of Pentagon collaborated on writing poem-like lyrics that depict a conversation between two lovers.

Pentagon, which debuted under Cube Entertainment in 2016 with its first EP "Pentagon," has been a mainstay in the K-pop scene with a total of 12 EPs and one full-length album in Korea, and five EPs in Japan. Their last Korean release was "In:vite U" in January 2022.

The group's most recent Japanese album, "Feelin' Like," was released in September 2022 and topped Japan's Oricon Daily Albums Chart. It showcased the band's versatility, with tracks ranging from upbeat pop to emotional ballads.

Despite the challenges posed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Pentagon has been active both in Korea and Japan, engaging with fans through online concerts and fan meetings. They have also made appearances on various music shows and variety programs, showcasing their charm and talent.

With the release of "Shh," Pentagon continues to expand its reach and captivate audiences both in Korea and Japan. Fans can look forward to the group's upcoming activities and future releases.
