October is set to be one of the most exciting months in K-pop, with both established superstars and promising newcomers flooding the release calendar. From anniversary celebrations to breakthrough albums, the month promises a diverse array of fresh music that will keep fans engaged across multiple generations of artists.
Leading the charge is TWICE, the nine-member powerhouse group that is celebrating its remarkable 10th anniversary this year. The group will release a special commemorative album titled "TEN: The Story Goes On" on October 10, marking a decade of success in the industry. To further celebrate this significant milestone, TWICE will host an exclusive fan meeting called "10VE UNIVERSE" at Korea University's Hwajeong Gymnasium on October 18, giving fans an intimate opportunity to celebrate alongside their favorite artists.
TWICE's October comeback highlights the group's continued dominance and global appeal in the K-pop landscape. Currently in the middle of their sixth world tour "THIS IS FOR," the group has consistently proven their status as one of K-pop's most internationally successful acts. Their recent career achievements include "TAKEDOWN," which was featured on the soundtrack of Netflix's hit animated film "KPop Demon Hunters," and "STRATEGY" from their 14th mini-album. Both tracks achieved new personal records across major music platforms including the Billboard Hot 100, Apple Music, Spotify, and the U.K. Official Charts, demonstrating that their decade-long career has only strengthened their global influence.
Another major comeback this month comes from Le Sserafim, though the girl group has kept specific details about their upcoming release closely guarded. The quintet under Source Music surprised their fanbase by announcing the comeback during their Newark concert on September 4, which served as the opening show of their "EASY CRAZY HOT" tour across North America. Le Sserafim has been making history among fourth-generation K-pop girl groups, becoming the first group in their generation to place four consecutive albums in the top 10 of the prestigious Billboard 200 chart. With such impressive achievements already under their belt, expectations are running high for what their new music will bring to the table.
Boy band BOYNEXTDOOR is also contributing to October's packed schedule with their fifth mini-album "The Action," set for release on October 20. This upcoming record represents the group's third major project of 2025, following their digital single "If I Say I Love You" released in January and their fourth mini-album "No Genre" which dropped in May. The group has been building significant momentum throughout the year, with "If I Say I Love You" dominating local music charts and "No Genre" achieving back-to-back million-seller certifications. BOYNEXTDOOR further established their growing reputation with their first solo tour "KNOCK ON Vol.1" in July, followed by a memorable performance at Lollapalooza Chicago in August.
The month will also shine a spotlight on several rookie groups who are eager to establish themselves in the competitive K-pop landscape. BABYMONSTER, YG Entertainment's newest girl group sensation, is preparing to release their second mini-album "WE GO UP" on October 10. According to their label, the title track embodies the group's determination to "climb higher" and showcases their signature hip-hop-influenced sound combined with the fierce charisma that has already set them apart among new acts in the industry.
TWS, operating under Pledis Entertainment, is also preparing for their next career milestone with their fourth mini-album "play hard," scheduled for release on October 13. The boy band offered fans an early preview of their upcoming work with the September 22 prerelease of "Head Shoulders Knees Toes," accompanied by a music video that showcases TWS's impressive stage presence and artistic versatility.
Rounding out the month's releases is Hearts2Hearts, a rookie girl group under the powerhouse SM Entertainment, who will debut their first mini-album "FOCUS" on October 20. The group has already begun building anticipation by releasing their prerelease track "Pretty Please" along with its music video on September 24, giving fans their first substantial look at the group's musical direction and artistic identity as they prepare to make their mark in the industry.
