In the wake of the worldwide phenomenon that is BTS, rookie boy band n.SSign is stepping into the limelight with aspirations that extend beyond their music. Inspired by the global impact of their K-pop predecessors, the septet aims to channel the same resonant melodies and uplifting messages that have touched hearts across the globe.

Embracing the cosmic mantle of their identity, n.SSign, pronounced en-sign, unveiled their debut EP, "Birth of Cosmo," in a showcase held in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi, on Wednesday. Comprising five tracks, the EP features the vibrant hip-hop dance lead track "Wormhole: New Track," as well as the pre-released dance anthem "Higher" and more.

For n.SSign, the path carved by BTS serves as both a model and an aspiration. Reflecting on the influence of the global megastars, member Huiwon stated, "Just as BTS spread the beauty of K-pop to the world with the language of music, we also want to transcend linguistic barriers and spread our music to the world."

With a moniker that stands for "a net of star signs," n.SSign's name encapsulates their theme of unity. Each member represents a star sign, converging with fellow members and fans to create a dynamic synergy of creativity and music, as explained by agency n.CH Entertainment.

Exploring the cosmic depths further, Huiwon elaborated on the album's title, "Birth of Cosmo," highlighting its significance in both universe and fandom creation. "We want to emphasize that our debut also means the birth of our fans and that we are one with them."

This cosmic journey began through Channel A's audition program "Youth Star" in 2022, culminating in the assembly of a seven-member group. The ensemble expanded its ranks to ten, solidifying their debut lineup, although member Hyun is currently on hiatus due to health concerns.

In an ambitious prelude to their official debut, n.SSign embarked on proactive promotional ventures in Japan, including tours and appearances on Japanese television. These strategic endeavors bore fruit, resulting in an expanding Japanese fanbase.

The debut EP's resounding success was underlined by over 210,000 pre-orders and a commanding position atop the Albums chart on Japan's prestigious Oricon music chart.

With sights set on global acclaim, n.SSign is poised to grace Tokyo's Ariake Arena with four performances in November, a testament to their determination to connect with fans worldwide.

"We want to go global and become a global icon," member Doha affirmed. The group's aspirations align with those of their admired predecessors, BTS, who have carved their place in history by using their music to convey messages of resilience and hope.

In a crowded arena of emerging K-pop talents, n.CH Entertainment CEO Jeong Chang-hwan emphasizes the value of persistence and gradual growth. Drawing on his extensive experience, having spent two decades at SM Entertainment before establishing his own company in 2017, Jeong acknowledges that not all stars shine brightly from the outset.

"As we navigate the evolving media landscape, many from smaller agencies like ours are striving to carve a path," he observed. "I hope our journey encourages others to keep pursuing their creative visions, knowing that even 'ugly ducklings' can transform into beautiful swans on the road to success."
