In a press conference held at The Ambassador Seoul, series director Kim Hee-won shared insights into the second season of the Disney+ romance original series "Soundtrack." Set to release two episodes every Wednesday, the six-part series introduces a dose of reality into the classic romance narrative.
The storyline revolves around the rekindled relationship between Ji Su-ho (Noh Sang-hyun) and Do Hyun-seo (Geum Sae-rok), who reunite four years after a six-year-long relationship. Now a successful CEO, Ji seeks piano lessons from Do, who had to abandon her dreams of becoming a successful pianist due to the harsh realities of life. The plot thickens as the two, along with musician Kei (Sohn Jeong-hyuk), find themselves entangled in a love triangle during a musical project.
Geum Sae-rok portrays Hyun-seo, a piano tutor grappling with the challenges of reality. Her character embodies romantic love while also reflecting on the sacrifices made for personal dreams. Noh Sang-hyun, renowned for his role in the Apple TV+ series "Pachinko," takes on his first lead role as the CEO navigating the complexities of rekindled love.
The directors collaborated to develop a plot that seamlessly integrates the series' musical theme with the flow of the narrative. "Soundtrack #2" explores the dynamics of love, both romantic and aspirational, against the backdrop of a familiar yet refreshing storyline.
The series, combining classic romance with a musical twist, invites audiences to experience the characters' emotional journey as two episodes are released every Wednesday.
