Thirty-nine high school students from Thanyaburi School embarked on an immersive cultural journey on September 10, visiting the Korea Cultural Center (KCC) Thailand to explore and experience various aspects of Korean traditional and contemporary culture. The educational field trip provided students with hands-on opportunities to engage with Korean heritage through interactive activities and exhibitions.

During their visit, the students explored the "Production Design: Scene Architects Build On-Screen World" exhibition, which is currently being showcased at the Korea Cultural Center. This exhibition offered insights into the creative processes behind Korean film and television production, allowing students to understand how visual storytelling is crafted in Korean entertainment media.

The cultural experience extended beyond passive observation as students actively participated in traditional Korean games and activities. They engaged in classic Korean pastimes including Tuho, a traditional ring-throwing game; Ddakjichigi, a paper-flipping game; and Jegichagi, a traditional shuttlecock kicking game. These interactive sessions provided students with authentic experiences of Korean recreational culture that has been passed down through generations.

One of the highlights of the visit was the opportunity for students to try on hanbok, Korea's traditional clothing, and take commemorative photographs. This activity allowed them to physically connect with Korean cultural heritage while creating lasting memories of their cultural exploration.

The students also demonstrated their creativity through a hands-on craft workshop where they created personalized hand-held mirrors using hanji, traditional Korean paper made from mulberry trees. This activity combined artistic expression with cultural learning, as students learned about the historical significance and traditional manufacturing process of hanji while creating functional keepsakes. The decorating process proved to be both educational and enjoyable, giving students tangible mementos to take home from their cultural experience.

The Korea Cultural Center expressed hopes that this comprehensive field trip would serve as a meaningful and memorable introduction to Korean culture for all participating students. Such educational exchanges play a vital role in fostering cross-cultural understanding and appreciation between Thailand and South Korea, particularly among younger generations who will shape future bilateral relations.
