A long-vacant storefront on one of Speyer's most prominent streets is being transformed into a temporary pop-up exhibition space, breathing new life into what was once the former Café Englert. The empty space at Maximilianstraße 83 has sat unused for years, but now it will host an exciting combination of art, culture, and culinary experiences.

The exhibition, titled "Keep the fire burning," will run from the first weekend of Advent on November 30th through New Year's Eve. The motto can be freely translated as "keeping passion alive," which perfectly captures the spirit of this heartfelt project. The initiative represents a homecoming of sorts for producer Carolin Rüger, who is returning to her hometown with this creative endeavor.

Rüger is collaborating with her partner Christian Brox to create this unique pop-up exhibition. The centerpiece of the show will feature Brox's beloved photography collection documenting Berlin during the transformative 1990s era. These evocative images capture a pivotal moment in German history, offering visitors a glimpse into the city's vibrant cultural renaissance following reunification.
