The future of rising K-pop girl group Fifty Fifty hangs in the balance as all four members - Keena, Aran, Sio, and Saena - have applied for an injunction to suspend their exclusive contract with their agency, Attrakt. The legal action, filed on June 19 with the Seoul Central District Court, comes in response to alleged breach of contract and a breakdown in trust between the members and the agency, as confirmed by their legal representative, Barun Law, on Wednesday.

Barun Law claimed, "Such a measure was taken for breach of contract by Attrakt and for having lost trust with the members. We've requested corrective action for several issues related to the breach of contract, but instead of responding to such requests, Attrakt consecutively released press statements that have tarnished the members' reputations."

The alleged breach of contract includes improper compensation and forcing a member to participate in scheduled activities despite poor health. Furthermore, Attrakt's failure to provide a clear explanation for the breach and their public disclosure of a member's health condition without consent have deeply disappointed the group members. The legal representative did not disclose the name of the third party allegedly involved in attempting to poach members of Fifty Fifty.

Barun Law stated, "No third party was involved in this decision made solely by the members. We ask Attrakt to stop harming the members' reputations."

In response, the four members released a press statement through their legal representatives, asserting their innocence and commitment to their fans. "We are well aware of how this is an important period for us and also of how the public is worried about us. None of us have taken part in anything wrong. We made this decision to truthfully and honestly go in the right direction we want to go. Our only desire is to get back to our fans that support us as soon as possible. We promise to continue being independent and hard-working artists."

Meanwhile, Attrakt finds itself entangled in a separate legal battle with a smaller firm led by a producer associated with one of Fifty Fifty's hit songs. In a press statement released on Monday, Attrakt alleged that a subcontracted outsourcing company approached Warner Music Korea to sell off the girl group, demanding an explanation.

Warner Music Korea, which has been the global distributor for Fifty Fifty since April, refuted the allegations in a press statement, stating, "We have made every effort to provide our capabilities and network to enhance the remarkable achievements attained by Fifty Fifty and its agency. However, we are deeply disappointed by the unsavory allegations that have been raised."

On Tuesday, Attrakt identified the subcontracted outsourcing company as The Givers, led by producer Siahn, who contributed to the production of the hit single "Cupid," which propelled Fifty Fifty to fame. In response, Attrakt took legal action against Siahn and three others, accusing them of fraud, obstruction of business, and damaging electronic records.

Attrakt further claimed that The Givers had discreetly taken over the copyright of the song "Cupid" during the process of acquiring the copyright from foreign composers. Currently, Ahin, Keena, and Siahn are the individuals registered with the Korea Music Copyright Association as the copyright holders of the song.

As the legal battles unfold, the future of Fifty Fifty remains uncertain, leaving fans and industry observers eagerly awaiting further developments in this dramatic turn of events.
