K-pop fans worldwide are eagerly anticipating the release of new music from a number of popular artists in May. Among the highly anticipated releases are Le Sserafim's first full-length album, "UNFORGIVEN," aespa's "MY WORLD" EP, and ONEUS' ninth mini-album, "PYGMALION."
Le Sserafim, a five-member girl group, will release their album on May 1. The album will feature a lead single of the same name, which will be a collaboration with Grammy-winning American musician Nile Rodgers, marking the first time Rodgers has worked with a K-pop artist. "UNFORGIVEN" is a tune that fuses hip-hop and funk rhythms and samples the main theme song from the 1966 American movie "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly."
Aespa, a four-member girl group, will release their third mini-album, "MY WORLD," on May 8. The EP will consist of six tracks and will continue aespa's fictional musical universe, which centers on the themes of metaverse and digital avatars. Prior to the release of the EP, the group will unveil one of the tracks, "Welcome to MY World," on May 2.
ONEUS, a boy group, will release their ninth mini-album, "PYGMALION," on May 8. The EP will be led by "ERASE ME" and will include four other tracks, such as "Intro: LETHE" and "ECHO."
In addition to these highly anticipated releases, (G)I-DLE will drop their new album, "I Feel," on May 15, and Mijoo, a former member of K-pop act Lovelyz, will make her solo debut on May 17. Boy band SHINee is also set to release their new album in May to celebrate their 15th anniversary, although the release date is unknown.
Fans are eagerly awaiting these new releases from some of the biggest names in K-pop and are excited to see what these artists have in store for their upcoming music offerings.
