K-pop girl group NewJeans' new song "Ditto," released on the 19th, was ranked No1 on major music sites, foreshadowing another box office success following their debut album.
As of 4:00 PM on Friday, “Ditto” is currently ranked No1 on Melon’s “Top 100” chart, Korea’s largest music site.
NewJeans hit the top of the music charts with their debut song “Attention” and “Hype boy” in August of this year. In particular, “Hype boy” is still ranked 4th on the charts.
“Ditto” is a reinterpretation of the Baltimore club dance music genre with their own sensibilities. This song is a pre-release song for the new single “OMG,” specially prepared by NewJeans for their fan club “Bunnies,” who are celebrating their first winter after their debut.
Producer “250” participated in the production of the album. In particular, member Minji wrote the lyrics herself, drawing attention from fans.
This song is also well received abroad. At 3:00 PM on the same day, QQ Music, China's largest music platform, ranked No1 on most charts, including the “Rising Chart,” “New Songs Chart,” “Trendy Index Chart,” “Music Index Chart,” and “MV Chart.” And it topped the iTunes “Top Song” chart in 7 countries around the world, including the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, etc.
The two versions of the “Dito” music video ranked 1st and 2nd on Korean YouTube’s “Raising Popularity”, and also ranked high in the UK (2nd), the US (4th), Japan (4th) and France (7th).
Meanwhile, NewJeans' new single "OMG" will be officially released on the 2nd of next month.
