In the upcoming month of February, several K-pop idols are set to make significant strides in their solo careers through a series of concerts and fan meetings.
Ten, a member of NCT, will headline his inaugural fan concert titled "2024 Ten First Fan-Con 1001." The tour spans four Asian cities, commencing on Feb. 17 at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. The itinerary includes stops at Bangkok Impact Arena on March 3, Asiaworld-Expo Hall in Hong Kong on March 9, and Kasablanka Hall in Jakarta, Indonesia, on April 27. Ten is expected to showcase both new and previously released solo songs during the concert, coinciding with the imminent release of his first solo album in February.
Wheein, a vocalist from Mamamoo, is gearing up for her first solo concert, marking a decade in her career. Titled "2024 Wheein 1st World Tour: Whee In The Mood [Beyond]," the event will take place on Feb. 24 and Feb. 25 at Blue Square Master Card Hall in Seoul. Wheein, who embarked on her solo journey in 2018 with the single "Magnolia," released her first solo studio album, "In the Mood," in October 2023.
Yerin from GFriend is set to hold her inaugural overseas solo fan meeting, "Yerin 1st Fanmeeting WOORIN & I," in Taipei, Taiwan, on Jan. 14. Having debuted with GFriend in 2015, Yerin began her solo career in 2022. Following a successful solo fan meeting in Korea in October 2023, Yerin plans to extend her global reach by connecting with fans in various countries.
Hur Young-ji, formerly of Kara, will make a special appearance as an MC at Lee Chae-yeon's fan meeting, adding a touch of familiarity to the event.
These solo ventures underscore the evolution of K-pop idols as they explore individual creative pursuits beyond their group dynamics. Fans can anticipate a diverse array of performances and interactions as these artists take the stage solo in the coming weeks.
