The Korean Cultural Centre Canada has announced plans to host in-person screenings of three acclaimed performances from the Seoul Arts Centre's SAC ON SCREEN series throughout 2025. The cultural programming initiative will bring Korean performing arts directly to Canadian audiences through carefully curated theatrical presentations.
The screening series will feature three distinct performances showcasing the diversity of Korean cultural expression. "Dallae Story" represents traditional Korean storytelling, while "The Illusion - Masterpiece" offers contemporary theatrical innovation. The series will conclude with "The Chunhyang," a classic Korean tale that has captivated audiences for generations.
All three screenings are scheduled to take place at the Multipurpose Hall of the Korean Cultural Centre Canada, located at 150 Elgin Street 101, Ottawa, Ontario K2P 1L4. The venue provides an intimate setting for cultural exchange and artistic appreciation, allowing attendees to experience Korean performing arts in a dedicated cultural space.
The screening dates have been strategically spaced throughout the year to maximize audience engagement and cultural impact. "Dallae Story" will be presented on July 12, 2025, marking the summer cultural season. "The Illusion - Masterpiece" is scheduled for August 30, 2025, continuing the cultural momentum into late summer. The series will conclude with "The Chunhyang" on November 8, 2025, providing a meaningful cultural experience as the year draws to a close.
This initiative represents the ongoing collaboration between Korean cultural institutions and international Korean Cultural Centres to promote Korean arts and heritage globally. The SAC ON SCREEN program allows audiences worldwide to access high-quality performances from one of Korea's premier cultural institutions, bridging geographical distances through shared artistic experiences.
