Artist Jung Min-jin will present her solo exhibition Annyeong (安寧) at Sozip Gallery in Gangneung from Nov. 7–29.
The exhibition marks Jung’s return to the gallery five years after her 2021 solo show Memories of That Day. The earlier exhibition featured works based on memories of her grandfather, while the new project begins with time spent with her grandmother.
Annyeong brings together images shaped by ordinary moments that remain in personal memory, including shared laughter, physical gestures and encounters recalled during everyday life.
The exhibition’s Korean title carries several meanings. Annyeong can function as both a greeting and a farewell, while the Chinese characters in the title refer to peace and well-being. Jung uses the term to consider how memories of an absent family member continue to accompany the present.
Among the exhibited works is She and Her Moss Rose, a 2026 mixed-media work on a wood panel measuring 99.5 by 99.5 centimetres.
An artist event will be held at the gallery at 2 p.m. on Nov. 8. Participation is free and no advance registration is required.
The exhibition is supported by Gangwon State and the Gangwon Art and Culture Foundation.
Annyeong runs from Nov. 7–29 at Sozip Gallery, located at 5 Gonghang-gil 30beon-gil in Gangneung, Gangwon Province. The gallery is open from noon to 6 p.m. and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
