A stunning new summer residence has been completed in the prestigious Fazenda Vila Real condominium in Itu, São Paulo State, Brazil, marking the fourth collaboration between architect Alexandre Chaguri and his longtime client. The 670-square-meter house, finished in 2023, represents a bold architectural vision that prioritizes transparency and direct harmony with the surrounding natural environment.

The client's specific request for a large, transparent house in harmony with nature became the guiding principle for the entire creative process. This clear vision shaped every aspect of the design, from the initial concept to the final construction details. The project demonstrates how residential architecture can successfully integrate with existing natural landscapes while maintaining modern comfort and functionality.

The most striking feature of the residence is its relationship with the native forest area existing on the property, which has been transformed into the protagonist of the architectural composition. From the main entrance of the house, dense vegetation creates a dramatic scenario and natural frame that defines both the building's placement and its overall architectural character. This integration with the forest represents a thoughtful approach to site-specific design that respects and celebrates the existing ecosystem.

The design team included landscape architect Roberto Riscala, who worked closely with Alexandre Chaguri Arquitetura to ensure seamless integration between the built and natural environments. Construction was handled by Construtora Jatobba, with specialized manufacturers including DS Esquadrias, Ecotech, MARMOLUX, and Road Automatização contributing to various aspects of the project. The collaborative effort resulted in a residence that successfully balances modern living requirements with environmental sensitivity.

Photography by Favaro Jr. Fotografia captures the residence's transparent qualities and its harmonious relationship with the surrounding forest. The images reveal how the house appears to float within its natural setting, creating a dialogue between interior and exterior spaces that changes throughout the day as light filters through the native vegetation. This documentation showcases how contemporary Brazilian residential architecture can achieve both luxury and environmental consciousness.
