Frieze Seoul 2023 Unveils Complete Lineup

Frieze is making its comeback in Seoul this year with an enhanced Frieze Film feature, new programs that champion the city's non-profit sectors, an array of discussions, and the introduction of Frieze Music.

The details of Frieze Seoul's sophomore edition have been disclosed, slated to take place at COEX from September 6 to September 9, 2023. Coinciding with Kiaf SEOUL, this art fair will spotlight over 120 premier galleries worldwide, with a significant emphasis on local displays representing the breadth of Asian artistry. Beyond that, Frieze Seoul will roll out handpicked programs across Film, Talks, and Music sectors to delve deep into Korea's expansive creative scene.

Patrick Lee, the head honcho at Frieze Seoul, remarked, "These distinct projects emphasize Frieze's roots as an artist-centric entity, assuring its prime spot in the global art circuit. With Sungah Serena CHOO and KIM Sung woo steering Frieze Film, attendees can expect a congregation of Seoul's top-tier artists. Our collaboration with KIAF and KAMS seeks to introduce a comprehensive talks segment, reflecting crucial dialogues that mold the international and Asian art spheres. As a nod to our growing ties with Seoul's art community, we're launching the Frieze Night, an inaugural bash at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), brought to life in partnership with LG OLED, set for September 6."

FRIEZE MUSIC is another showstopper. The first-ever Frieze Music Seoul, powered by BMW, is hosting a live gig featuring the renowned artist Colde. Scheduled for Friday, September 8, at New Garage located in the Seongsu-dong neighborhood, Colde will share the stage with guest artists APRO and Khakii, both representing the Wavy label. Although an invite-only affair, fans can try their luck for passes via a contest on Frieze's official Instagram handle, @friezeofficial.
