
Unity Technologies (NYSE: U) has announced the “Unity6 Roadshow,” set to take place on February 17 and 20, 2025, at the Hunet Campus in Gasan and the Startup Campus in Pangyo. The event aims to demonstrate the core features of Unity6 and provide actionable insights for developers and creators.
The roadshow will include two primary sessions: “Unity6 Overview” and “Demo Deep Dive” demonstrations led by Unity’s engineering team. Attendees will also have the opportunity for in-depth Q&A sessions with Unity’s technical experts, offering tailored advice for their projects. Unity Korea anticipates that the Unity6 Overview will provide a comprehensive understanding of the latest generation of the Unity game engine.
The Unity6 Overview session will feature Yang Jin Seok, Lead Solutions Engineer at Unity, and Gold Metal, Senior Advocate, as keynote speakers. This session will introduce Unity6’s next-generation tools and functionalities, including strategies for maximizing development efficiency and performance.
The Demo Deep Dive will be divided into two concurrent tracks. The first will explore GPU-accelerated graphics performance improvements and the latest features in Render Graph, Shader Graph, and VFX Graph within Unity6. This session will be led by Oh Ji Hyun, Senior Advocate for Unity APAC, and Park Jong Tae, Senior Software Development Consultant.
The second track, presented by Shin Pyung Ho, Senior Technical Account Manager, will focus on Unity6’s multiplayer features, including netcode functionality. Attendees will learn to leverage tools like Multiplayer Center, widgets, and play modes to develop multiplayer games, using real-world examples such as Mega City Metro.
In addition to the presentations, the roadshow will include hands-on training sessions with a focus on performance optimization for Unity projects. These sessions will be led by Lee Je Min, Senior Partner Engineer, who will guide participants through practical techniques to enhance project efficiency.
Kim Bo Young, Head of Marketing at Unity Korea, emphasized the significance of this roadshow, stating, “Unity6 represents a breakthrough solution that transcends creative boundaries to achieve innovation. We hope participants will explore the vast possibilities Unity6 offers during this event.”
Unity6, launched in October 2024, introduced a range of features aimed at streamlining game development. These include customizable graphic rendering, tools for simplifying multiplayer game development, and optimized tools for creating rich game experiences directly in web browsers.
