Beomgyu of Tomorrow X Together (TXT) will take his first step as a solo artist with the release of his debut mixtape Panic on March 27 at 6 PM KST. The announcement was made by BigHit Music on March 24, confirming that the mixtape will feature original songs written and composed by Beomgyu, encapsulating his unique musical identity and emotional narrative.

To accompany the news, Beomgyu revealed the digital cover of Panic via the fan platform Weverse. The illustration, drawn in warm tones, depicts dandelion seeds drifting through the air—an image symbolizing fragility, transience, and hope. The cover's subtle visual language complements the introspective nature of the release.

Along with the artwork, Beomgyu shared a handwritten message that reveals the emotional foundation of the project. "Many people live their days feeling lost, as if walking through a long tunnel," he wrote. "I’ve had those days, too. I endured them by listening to music. Just as I found comfort in others’ voices, I believe mine can also offer solace to someone else."

He concluded the letter with a heartfelt wish: "I sincerely hope this song reaches deep into your heart, and becomes a strength that helps you keep walking forward." The note has resonated strongly with fans, highlighting Beomgyu’s sincerity and growing presence as a songwriter.

Panic marks a significant evolution in Beomgyu’s creative journey, building upon his previous contributions to TXT’s discography. He began his production work with Maze in the Mirror from the group’s second EP and went on to co-write and produce fan-favorite tracks such as Thursday’s Child Has Far To Go, Balance Game, and Blue Spring. His lyrical and melodic sensibilities have gradually shaped a distinctive artistic voice within TXT’s collective framework.

This mixtape serves as his most personal offering to date, allowing Beomgyu to articulate his thoughts independently for the first time outside of group activities. The solo release also reflects a broader industry trend of idol artists asserting individual creative control and cultivating deeper emotional bonds with fans through original songwriting.

BigHit Music emphasized that the project is meant to convey genuine comfort, and announced that a series of promotions will follow to showcase Beomgyu’s emotional artistry. Industry insiders see Panic as both a symbolic and strategic move, demonstrating the evolving expectations placed on K-pop idols—not just as performers but as storytellers and cultural voices.

As the release date approaches, anticipation continues to grow for how Panic will resonate in a global music market that increasingly values introspection, authenticity, and creative self-direction. Beomgyu’s solo debut appears poised to extend his impact well beyond TXT’s already formidable reach.
