Gravity Unveils Ambitious 2025 Roadmap with Ragnarok IP at the Core

Gravity, the developer behind the globally acclaimed Ragnarok series, unveiled its ambitious roadmap for 2025 on January 13, outlining plans to release groundbreaking titles, expand into new markets, and diversify its portfolio with fresh intellectual properties. The company’s strategy focuses on enhancing the Ragnarok IP while introducing innovative content to attract a wider audience.

Central to this vision is the anticipated launch of Ragnarok 3, a multi-platform MMORPG set for release in 2025. With its official numbering as part of the core series, Ragnarok 3 is poised to deliver an immersive experience that redefines the franchise’s legacy. Alongside this, Gravity is developing Project Abyss (working title), an expansive 3D open-world game that emphasizes seamless exploration, deep storytelling, and intricate player interaction. Other new entries in the Ragnarok franchise include Ragnarok Crush, a strategy-action puzzle RPG, and Project Deviluchi (working title), an idle RPG designed to appeal to casual players.

Gravity is also expanding beyond the Ragnarok series with a diverse lineup of new IPs. These include the high-school-themed strategy RPG Academy Three Kingdoms and the strategic card battle game Heroes’ Gambit. These titles reflect the company’s commitment to exploring innovative gameplay mechanics and engaging storytelling in new genres.

As part of its global strategy, Gravity plans to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia and regions like Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau, where the Ragnarok IP has seen tremendous success. The company also aims to penetrate underserved markets in Europe and South America, with plans to release Ragnarok Origin in Europe and Ragnarok X: Next Generation across Europe, North America, and South America in 2025.

Gravity is doubling down on its PC and console ventures to diversify its revenue streams. Notable upcoming titles include Snow Bros. 2 Special, set for global release on Steam and Nintendo Switch in the first half of 2025, and KAMiBAKO: Mythology of Cube, a world-crafting RPG. The HD remaster of WiZmans World Re;Try is also slated for launch, offering an updated experience of the classic title.

In addition to gaming, Gravity is investing in cross-industry collaborations to enhance Ragnarok’s brand recognition. Plans include exhibitions, concerts, pop-up stores, and merchandise launches in major cities. The company is also exploring content expansion through musicals, webtoons, web novels, and other creative mediums.

Gravity stated that 2025 will be a pivotal year, with multiple major launches and an aggressive push into new markets. By bolstering the Ragnarok franchise and introducing innovative IPs, the company aims to strengthen its global standing and achieve significant growth in the gaming and entertainment sectors. This multifaceted approach positions Gravity to lead in both established and emerging markets.
