Warner Music Korea
In a momentous comeback announcement, BB Girls, previously known as Brave Girls, revealed that they will be releasing a new album on August 3rd, marking their first release under a new name and agency. The group's agency, Warner Music Korea, unveiled a striking poster on their official social media accounts on Wednesday, captivating fans with images that exude confidence and intensity, a departure from the refreshing vibe of their last mini-album, "Summer Queen."
BB Girls' ascent to stardom began in 2021, when their 2017 single "Rollin'" unexpectedly surged back up the charts, four years after its initial release. The momentum propelled all four members - Minyoung, Yujeong, Yuna, and Eunji - into the limelight as Brave Girls. However, the group faced challenges earlier this year when they disbanded in February after deciding to part ways with their former label, Brave Entertainment, upon the expiration of their seven-year exclusive contracts.
Despite the disbandment, BB Girls' journey was far from over. In late April, the talented quartet inked a new chapter in their careers by signing with Warner Music Korea, effectively rebranding themselves as BB Girls. With their unwavering dedication to their fans, the group expressed gratitude for the opportunity to continue their musical voyage alongside their beloved supporters.
"We are grateful to be able to continue our journey together with our fans, as we've joined a new agency. We hope to make good memories together. We exist because of our fans," shared Minyoung in an exclusive interview with PMK magazine ahead of their highly anticipated comeback.
As BB Girls prepare to unleash their latest album, fans worldwide eagerly await the musical metamorphosis of the charismatic quartet. With their indomitable spirit and soaring talent, BB Girls' return promises to be a triumphant chapter in their remarkable K-pop journey.
