IU to Release Prerelease Single, "Love Wins," Marking Her Return to Original Music

Renowned Singer-Songwriter IU's Upcoming Single Set to Debut on January 24

In a recent announcement by EDAM Entertainment on Monday, singer-songwriter IU, whose real name is Lee Ji-eun, is slated to release her prerelease single, "Love Wins," on January 24. This marks her first original music in over two years, following the release of her last EP, "Pieces," in December 2021.

IU, a prominent solo artist in Korea since her debut in 2008, has gained recognition for hit songs like "Good Day" (2010), "YOU&I" (2011), "The Red Shoes" (2013), "Through the Night" (2017), and "Lilac" (2021), among others. She has also made a name for herself in the acting world, starting with the KBS drama series "Dream High" in 2011 and continuing to star in various dramas and films, including her latest work, "Dream" (2023).

The artist has recently demonstrated her philanthropic efforts by donating 210 million won ($159,500) at the beginning of the year to support underprivileged households in obtaining heating for the winter.
