K-pop sensation Enhypen announced their fifth EP, "Orange Blood," during a press conference held in Seoul on Thursday. The album, set to be released on Friday, marks a departure from the group's traditional style, embracing a "subtle sexiness," according to member Jungwon.

The lead track, "Sweet Venom," showcases Enhypen's evolving sound, described as a groovy and chill punk-pop melody. Member Sunoo revealed that the song is an extension of the previous album's title track, "Bite Me," titled "Dark Blood."

In a notable first, Jay contributed as a lyricist for "Sweet Venom," marking his debut in writing lyrics for the group. The album includes three versions of the song: Korean, English, and a collaborative edition featuring American singer Bella Poarch.

"Orange Blood" consists of a total of five tracks, including "Mortal," "Still Monster," "Far Away," and "Orange Flower (You Complete Me)." The album continues the narrative from their previous release, "Dark Blood," and is part of the "blood" series, interwoven with elements from Enhypen's original web-comic series, "Dark Moon: The Blood Altar."

The keyword for "Orange Blood" is "carpe diem," reflecting the narrator's commitment to stay with their lover despite the challenges posed by lethal poison. Enhypen, comprised of Jay, Jake, Jungwon, Sunghoon, Heeseung, Sunoo, and Ni-Ki, celebrated their third anniversary in September.

Despite international success, particularly with their "Fate" tour, which included a historic debut at Japan's Tokyo Dome, Enhypen aims to bolster domestic popularity with their latest album. The group acknowledged the perception of lower domestic chart rankings compared to their global reputation and expressed determination to overcome this limitation.

"Orange Blood" and the music video for "Sweet Venom" are set to be released on Friday.
