K-pop artist Kwon Ji-yong, widely recognized as G-Dragon, expressed confidence following a police interrogation on Monday regarding alleged illegal drug use. He posted on his Instagram account, stating, "Justice will prevail," alongside a Korean idiom emphasizing that things will work out in the end.
After a four-hour questioning session at the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency's Nonhyeon Police Station, G-Dragon left and informed reporters that he had received negative results from a rapid drug test. He also mentioned his request for a comprehensive drug test, hoping for a swift announcement of the results.
When asked if the police presented any evidence of alleged drug use during the interrogation, G-Dragon responded in the negative. He maintained a casual demeanor throughout the interaction, answering questions and even injecting humor at times.

Regarding the nature of the interrogation, he initially mentioned it was conducted in a lighthearted manner but clarified that it was a joke. He did not find the session unreasonable, emphasizing that it was part of the police's professional duty, triggered by someone's testimony, and he was there to prove his innocence.
G-Dragon acknowledged the public interest in his case and urged people not to worry, expressing hope that they would trust and wait for him. He left the scene with a wide smile.
The singer, a former member of the now-disbanded group Big Bang, was booked without detention about two weeks ago for allegedly violating the Narcotics Control Act. His name emerged in connection with a drug ring in the Gangnam area, where actor Lee Sun-kyun was also indicted.
G-Dragon has consistently denied the allegations through his lawyer and stated his commitment to cooperate in the investigations.
While many of his fans support him, concerns have been raised due to previous reports of peculiar behavior, although the recent rapid drug test yielded negative results. This is not G-Dragon's first involvement in a drug-related case, as he was previously investigated for alleged marijuana use in a Japanese club in 2011, which ultimately led to a suspension of indictment.
The investigation is ongoing, and G-Dragon has expressed his readiness to answer further questions and provide evidence upon the police's request. The results of his comprehensive drug test are expected to be disclosed in approximately a month, as the police collected hair and urine samples for examination by the National Forensic Service.
