K-pop Group Fifty Fifty Faces Contract Terminations Amid Legal Dispute

Attrakt notifies Saena, Sio, and Aran of contract termination as legal battle with the group unfolds

Fifty Fifty (Attrakt)

K-pop agency Attrakt announced the termination of exclusive contracts for members Saena, Sio, and Aran of the group Fifty Fifty, excluding Keena, in a press release issued on Monday. The agency cited the reason for the termination as the alleged contract breaches by these three members and indicated that further actions would be discussed at a later date.

Earlier in June, all four members of Fifty Fifty had sought an injunction to suspend their exclusive contract with Attrakt. However, the Seoul Central District Court rejected their injunction request in August, marking the beginning of a legal battle between the group and the agency.

Fifty Fifty pursued the case further by appealing the local court's decision, reiterating their desire to sever ties with Attrakt. A significant turn of events occurred when Keena of Fifty Fifty applied for the withdrawal of the appeal and returned to the agency.

In response to Keena's return, Attrakt disclosed a phone conversation that took place between Keena's father and Ahn Sung-il, a representative of outsourcing company The Givers, on Friday. This disclosure aimed to support Attrakt's claim that Ahn had played a role in motivating the group to seek an injunction to suspend their exclusive contract with the agency.
