K-pop solo artist Dawn initiated his mandatory military service on Thursday, as confirmed by his music label At Area. The artist made the announcement through his social media, expressing gratitude to his fans for their continuous support and understanding regarding the abrupt disclosure of his enlistment. Dawn emphasized that he chose to enlist quietly and assured his fans of his return upon completing his compulsory military duty.

Dawn, who debuted as a member of the K-pop boy group Pentagon in 2016, later ventured into a solo career after departing from the group in 2018. Known for popular tracks like "Money," "Stupid Cool," and "Dear My Lights," he mentioned having prepared new songs for release during his military service.
