The New Six, affectionately known as TNX, has made a triumphant comeback with their highly anticipated third mini album, "BOYHOOD," immersing fans in a wave of 1990s nostalgia. From the captivating concept photos to their mesmerizing dance moves for the title track, "Kick It 4 Now," TNX has meticulously crafted an album that pays homage to the bygone era while infusing their unique musical style.

During a press conference held in Seoul on Wednesday, Sungjun of The New Six revealed the inspiration behind their Y2K-inspired album. "We delved into a plethora of reference clips, eventually stumbling upon the music video of the pop duo Deux for their track 'In Summer.' It instantly captivated us with its trendiness and sensational vibe," he explained. With a keen eye for detail, The New Six took cues from their predecessors, carefully studying and incorporating elements that would transport listeners back to the iconic era.

The title track, "Kick It 4 Now," embodies the essence of new jack swing, blending rhythmic drum sounds with vibrant synth instruments. Hyunsoo, one of the talented members of The New Six, enthusiastically elaborated on the choreography's highlights, stating, "Our kicking move while pumping our fists is a standout moment that truly brings the energy of the track to life." As the members showcased their electrifying performance of the title track for the first time on stage, the crowd was instantly captivated, embracing the reminiscent vibes that evoke memories of carefree summers.

Written by none other than renowned producer Psy, the lyrics of "Kick It 4 Now" perfectly encapsulate the themes of friendship and cherished memories. The New Six expresses their gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with Psy, whose meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication has left a lasting impression on the band. Hwi, another talented member of The New Six, shared, "I had the privilege of writing the lyrics alongside Psy, and the experience has been immensely enriching. Psy's guidance and expertise have taught me invaluable lessons."

"BOYHOOD," the third EP by The New Six, comprises a total of six tracks, each showcasing the group's versatility and musical growth. Notably, the sidetrack "My Bias" stands as a testament to Hwi's remarkable skills as it was solely produced by the talented artist. However, fans were disheartened by the absence of Junhyeok, the band's rapper, who was unable to join the promotional activities for this album due to his previous break during the band's EP, "Love Never Dies," as a result of anxiety and poor health.

Amidst their musical endeavors, The New Six aims to bridge the generational gap with their retro-style album, hoping to capture the hearts of listeners from all age groups. Taehun of The New Six expressed the band's aspirations, stating, "Our ultimate goal with this album is to spread the joy of our music to diverse audiences. We want people from all walks of life to embrace the nostalgic experience we've crafted."
