G-Dragon to Speak at 2024 Innovate Korea Forum

Event to Focus on AI and K-pop Integration

G-Dragon, a member of the K-pop group Big Bang, will deliver a speech at the 2024 Innovate Korea forum, a science and technology festival hosted by Herald Corporation, KAIST, and the National Research Council of Science and Technology. The event will be held at KAIST’s campus in Daejeon on June 3.

During the panel discussion, G-Dragon will discuss the integration of K-pop and artificial intelligence alongside KAIST President Lee Kwang-hyung and Choi Yong-ho, Founder and Chief Happiness Officer (CHO) of Galaxy Corporation, which is G-Dragon’s new management agency following his departure from YG Entertainment in December 2022.

Lee Kwang-hyung expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with Galaxy Corporation, highlighting the potential to apply KAIST’s science and technology to the global stage through Korean content and culture. Lee stated, “We look forward to working with CHO Choi and G-Dragon to contribute to the innovation of the entrepreneurial market as well as the global spread and growth of Korean culture.”

The 8th Innovate Korea forum will gather leading experts from ICT, science, and technology to explore the era of AI and predict its future. Participants include Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon, Rainbow Robotics Founder Oh Jun-ho, and Yoichi Sato, General Manager of Content Operations at TikTok, APAC.

The event will also feature a performance and special lecture by world-renowned soprano Sumi Jo, who previously performed with AI at Innovate Korea 2023. This year, Jo will present a stage with more advanced AI technology. Singer-songwriter Park Sae-byul, known for combining science and art, is also scheduled to perform.
