‘Lee Kun-hee Collection' Will Start Travelling Exhibition

Gyeonggi to Jeju, nationwide tour exhibition

The travelling exhibition ‘Lee Kun-hee Collection’ will start in Gwangju in October and will make stops including Busan, Daegu and Jeju through 2024.


On March 5, Gwangju National Museum and Gwangju Museum of Art will start exhibit ‘Lee Kun-hee Collection’.

Gwangju National Museum will showcase 271 pieces including 31 treasures with ‘Inwang Jesaekdo’ by Jeong Seon at exhibition entitled , which was held at the National Museum of Korea from April to August, celebrating the first anniversary of the late Lee Kun-hee’s bequest. in Gwangju National Museum will run until January 2023.

The Gwangju Museum of Art will exhibit over 90 pieces including Lee Jungseop’s “Children’, until November 27.

Display schedule of few pieces will change depending on the circumstances of the museums.

“Through the travelling exhibition ‘Lee Kun-hee Collection’, we hope it helps relieving the imbalance in access to cultural riches caused by urbanization,” said The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Touring exhibition will continue to Gyeongnam Art Museum and Busan Museum of Art this year. In 2023, the tour will take place at Daegu Art Museum, Ulsan Art Museum, Jeonnam Museum of Art, Daejeon Museum of Art, Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art, Daegu National Museum and Cheongju National Museum. The exhibition will also visit Jeonbuk Museum of Art, Jeju Museum of Art and Chungnam Museum of Art in 2024 .
