In a highly anticipated move, K-Pop sensation Stray Kids is set to make their mark in the Japanese music scene with the release of their first EP in Japan. The announcement was made by their label, JYP Entertainment, on Thursday, sparking excitement among fans on both sides of the Pacific.
Scheduled for release on September 6, the mini album will showcase two captivating main tracks. The first, titled "Social Path," features a special collaboration with renowned Japanese singer and songwriter LiSA, whose haunting vocals graced the hit track "Homura" for the animated film "Demon Slayer." The second main track is a Japanese-language version of "Super Bowl," originally a B-side track from Stray Kids' third LP, "5-Star." Both songs are skillfully penned by the talented songwriting trio within the band, known as 3Racha, comprising Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han.
The EP will comprise a total of five carefully curated tracks, offering a diverse and captivating musical experience for listeners. Notably, this release marks Stray Kids' first Japanese EP, and it comes approximately seven months after the successful launch of their debut studio album in Japan, titled "The Sound." The album's resounding success was evident as it topped various prestigious rankings, including Oricon's daily, weekly, weekly combined, and monthly album charts.
Leading up to the EP release, the eight members of Stray Kids are all set to embark on a thrilling concert tour across four cities in Japan. The tour will kick off in Fukuoka on August 16 and will feature a series of eight electrifying concerts, allowing the group to connect intimately with their Japanese fan base and create lasting memories.
Stray Kids' growing global popularity and their ability to seamlessly blend different musical styles continue to win hearts around the world. As they make their mark in Japan with this upcoming EP and concert tour, their ever-increasing international fan base eagerly anticipates their next musical chapter.
