Artist Anna Maria Dworschak will present her latest exhibition titled 'Mood Images' at the Büchergewölbe Elisabeth Mandl bookstore and at Flores in Tamsweg, Austria. The exhibition opening is scheduled for November 29, 2025, at 4:00 PM, located at Amtsgasse 15, 5580 Tamsweg.
Dworschak's current body of work explores the complex relationship between humanity and nature through a distinctive artistic lens. Her paintings are characterized by a deliberate reduction to essential elements, presenting inner impressions in abstracted forms. The artist consciously avoids traditional perspective techniques, instead emphasizing structure and tension to invite viewers to discover their own visual realities within her compositions.
The exhibition reflects Dworschak's philosophy that her artwork serves as messages connecting perception and emotion. Her pieces emerge from deeply personal interpretations that translate emotional and intellectual processes into visual form. The artist aims to encourage viewers to engage in their own exploration of form and meaning, creating a dialogue between the artwork and the observer.
Born in Mariapfarr in 1953, Dworschak trained as an art educator before pursuing her career as both a pedagogue and practicing artist. Throughout her artistic journey, she has participated in numerous prestigious art courses and workshops to refine her craft. Her educational background includes studies at the International Summer Academy in Salzburg, the Malerforum Riegersburg, the Hoke School in Halbenrain, the International Painting Weeks in Hollersbach, and the Art Academy in Bad Reichenhall.
Dworschak has studied under several renowned artists and instructors who have significantly influenced her artistic development. Her mentors include Georg Eisler, Nancy Spiro, Leon Golub, Edda Mally, Heribert Mader, Wolf Wiesinger, Giselbert Hoke, Gerhard Almbauer, and Andrea Rozorea. This diverse range of artistic influences has contributed to her unique approach to contemporary painting.
The artist's work has gained recognition through numerous solo and group exhibitions across Austria and beyond. Her paintings have been displayed at various prestigious venues, including Café Kuenburg Tamsweg, Schloss Mauterndorf, the University of Salzburg, Schloss Klessheim, the Innsbruck Art Fair, Galerie Kitz-Art in Kitzbühel, and Galerie Pucher in Lichtenstein. Additionally, her work has been featured at the Büchergewölbe Tamsweg and the Artvillage Bad Aussee, establishing her reputation in the regional art scene.
The upcoming 'Mood Images' exhibition represents a continuation of Dworschak's artistic exploration into the essential elements of visual expression. Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to experience her latest interpretations of the human-nature relationship through her characteristic style of structured abstraction. The dual venue presentation at both the Büchergewölbe Elisabeth Mandl and Flores provides art enthusiasts in the Lungau region with accessible opportunities to engage with contemporary Austrian art.
