(G)I-dle, the South Korean girl group, has suspended all scheduled activities ahead of the release of their second full-length album, "2," due to health issues affecting two members. Minnie and Yuqi were reported to have visited the hospital for evaluation, citing symptoms such as fever and migraines.

Cube Entertainment, the agency representing the group, announced the decision to halt the members' schedules, emphasizing the importance of rest and treatment in accordance with medical advice. The agency indicated that future activities would be rescheduled based on the health status of the affected members.

Despite the cancellation of a press conference originally set for Monday to celebrate the album release, "2" is still scheduled to be released on various music platforms at 6 p.m. on the same day.

Notably, (G)I-dle faced controversy last week related to the lyrics of the album's pre-release track, "Wife." Criticism emerged, with public broadcaster KBS recommending revisions for broadcast suitability. However, as the song is not the title track of the album, the group opted not to revise the lyrics.

With over 1.8 million preorders recorded as of Wednesday, "2" marks (G)I-dle's second million-seller album, following their sixth mini-album, "I feel," released in May 2023.
