IU, the accomplished singer-songwriter, is poised to release her first album in two years. After focusing on her acting career and a special mini album titled "Pieces" in December 2021, IU confirmed her return to the music scene during an appearance on Suga's YouTube talk show, "Suchwita," on December 26 of the previous year. She disclosed plans for her first overseas concert tour in four years, with filming for the new album's music video already completed alongside V of BTS. IU, who debuted 16 years ago, made history as the first K-pop female solo artist to hold a standalone concert at Seoul's Olympic Stadium. Concurrently, she is engaged in filming for the Netflix series "You Have Done Well."

G-Dragon, recently cleared of allegations involving illegal drug use, announced his return to the music industry with the establishment of his new agency, Galaxy Corp. During a press conference held on December 21, 2023, G-Dragon outlined his plans, including the creation of an anti-drug foundation, JusPeace Foundation. Expressing a commitment to fulfilling both artistic and social responsibilities, G-Dragon's last album release was his second mini album, "Kwon Ji Yong," in 2017. Notably, all his Big Bang bandmates had left YG Entertainment by the end of the previous year.
