Joo Chang-uk, a member of the boy band Drippin, will temporarily step back from the group's activities due to health issues, as confirmed by their agency Woollim Entertainment on Thursday.

The decision follows an examination at a hospital prompted by Joo Chang-uk's declining health while preparing for the band's upcoming album, according to the agency.

Woollim Entertainment stated that Joo Chang-uk will abstain from participating in the group's scheduled activities, adhering to medical advice to prioritize rest and recuperation from a respiratory illness, as outlined in a press release.

In Joo Chang-uk's absence, Drippin will continue its engagements with the remaining five members: Lee Hyeop, Hwang Yun-seong, Kim Dong-yun, Kim Min-seo, and Cha Jun-ho, until further notice, the agency added.

Drippin is set to unveil its fourth single, "Beautiful Maze," on April 3.
