Disney+ recently revealed its highly anticipated lineup of Korean originals for the second half of this year, featuring a range of captivating content such as the action-packed series "Moving" and the eagerly awaited music documentary, "BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star."

Kim So-youn, the managing director of The Walt Disney Company Korea, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming releases in a press release on Monday, acknowledging the increasing global fascination with Korean storytelling. She stated, "As audiences around the world continue to be drawn to stories from Korea, we believe our curated selection of originals in the second half of the year will captivate viewers at home and abroad. We look forward to working with Korea's creative community and leading production houses to spotlight storytelling excellence from Korea on Disney+."

One of the highlights is "Moving," an action series based on Kang Full's popular webcomics. Starring Zo In-sung, Han Hyo-joo, and Ryu Seung-ryong, the show revolves around a group of teenagers endowed with supernatural abilities. They, along with their parents harboring a painful secret, confront dark forces and a mysterious assassin. Directed by Park In-je, known for his work on Netflix's acclaimed series "Kingdom," "Moving" is set to premiere on Aug. 9.

Additionally, Disney+ will present three more gripping action series: "The Worst of Evil," "Vigilante," and "Han River Police." "The Worst of Evil" takes place in 1990s Seoul and follows undercover police officer Park Joon-mo (Ji Chang-wook) as he infiltrates a drug syndicate operating within the city's nightclubs. Filmmaker Han Dong-wook, acclaimed for the romance film "Man in Love," makes his series debut with this thrilling production.

Based on a popular webcomic, "Vigilante" centers around Jiyong (Nam Joo-huk), a police academy student who leads a double life as a model student and a vigilante seeking justice for criminals who evade punishment. The series, directed by Choi Jung-yeol, known for the 2019 comedy action film "Start-Up," promises to deliver action-packed drama.

Directed by Kim Sang-chul, the comedy action series "Han River Police" focuses on a precinct responsible for patrolling the river. Kwon Sang-woo and Kim Hee-won portray police officers dealing with crimes and emergencies, including terrorist incidents, in this waterway-centered setting.

In addition to the thrilling series lineup, Disney+ will showcase "BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star," a highly anticipated music documentary. Produced in collaboration with HYBE, the agency representing global K-pop phenomenon BTS, the documentary provides unprecedented access to the group's music and footage spanning their illustrious nine-year career. It also delves into the personal lives, thoughts, and preparations of the artists as they embark on their second chapter.

Fans can also anticipate the return of the subtle romance series "Soundtrack" with its second season, aptly titled "Soundtrack #2." The show delves into the rekindling of a college sweetheart romance between Keum Sae-rok and Noh Sang-hyun's characters, four years after their breakup. Director Kim Hee-won, who led the first season, returns to helm the eagerly awaited continuation.

With its diverse array of Korean originals, Disney+ demonstrates its commitment to embracing the global appeal of Korean storytelling and providing viewers with an exceptional entertainment experience.
