Ador CEO Min Hee-jin expressed her willingness to resolve the ongoing dispute with Hybe, the parent company of Ador, during a press conference in Seoul on Friday. Min emphasized the need for cooperation for the benefit of the label and its popular K-pop group NewJeans.
Min addressed the media, stating, “I hope we [Hybe and I] meet halfway. We have [NewJeans’] Tokyo Dome concert coming up in June and a world tour next year. I don’t want all these opportunities to disappear on account of this issue.”
She highlighted her contributions to Ador and its financial success, noting that NewJeans’ achievements in the past two years are comparable to the accomplishments of a top boy band over five to seven years. “CEOs talk with numbers. We should make wise and logical decisions for the sake of everyone’s interests,” Min added.

Earlier on Friday, Hybe removed Ador’s two other board members at an extraordinary shareholders' meeting, replacing them with three top executives from the headquarters: Chief Human Resources Officer Kim Ju-young, Chief Strategy Officer Lee Jae-sang, and Chief Financial Officer Lee Kyung-jun. The company initially planned to dismiss all three directors, including Min, but she filed a preliminary injunction against Hybe on May 7 to prevent it from exercising voting rights in favor of her dismissal. The court granted the injunction one day before the shareholders' meeting.
Hybe stated it accepted the court's ruling but would take follow-up action permitted within the boundaries of the law. Min indicated her willingness to work with the new directors as long as she remains CEO. “I am sure the three new directors won’t disturb me from doing my job as CEO. If they do, that is a breach of trust that Hybe keeps accusing me of,” Min said.
