Interior Decorator in Quimper Launches Creative Events to Showcase Artistic Design Services

Céline Marie Gessier, an interior decorator based in Quimper, Brittany, is launching a series of innovative events to promote her artistic design business and connect with potential clients. The decorator, who specializes in integrating art and craftsmanship into interior spaces, has created multiple event formats including after-work gatherings, decorating workshops, and home-based design consultations.

Gessier established her creative studio, Horizon Coquelicot, in Quimper three years ago after a lengthy career in sales and communication. Coming from an artistic background as the daughter of painter Pierre Gessier, she explains that decoration was a natural choice for her. "I grew up surrounded by color," she shares, reflecting on her artistic upbringing that shaped her career path.

However, Gessier acknowledges the challenges facing her industry in the current market. "There's a lot of competition here, and the context of economic uncertainties doesn't help," she notes. To distinguish herself from competitors and better explain her unique approach to potential clients, she decided to create engaging events that showcase her expertise in what she calls "artistic interior decoration."

Her signature approach focuses on integrating art and artisanal crafts into interior design work. "My specialty is incorporating art and craft into my work to ennoble spaces and create different interiors," Gessier explains. This artistic focus sets her apart from traditional decorators and forms the foundation of her event programming.

The first major event will take place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the Faience Museum in Quimper. These unique after-work gatherings at the museum are planned to continue twice monthly, rotating through different Breton museums. The concept involves bringing together groups of 10 to 15 people to discover items and collections that museums typically don't show regular visitors.

Each museum event will feature two guest artists discussing a specific theme, with the inaugural event focusing on the sea. The first evening will showcase underwater photographer Jérémy Varoquier and painter Alexandre Musso, with all discussions taking place around a catered buffet. This format combines cultural education with networking opportunities while highlighting the connection between art and interior design.

In addition to the museum after-work events, Gessier is offering specialized color workshops lasting an hour and a half. "By exploring a specific color, we'll see how to associate it and enhance it in an interior space. We'll also create mood boards and inspiration boards," she explains. These hands-on workshops provide practical design education while demonstrating her expertise to potential clients.

The third component of her event strategy involves "decorating happy hours" held in private homes. These intimate gatherings bring together six people around an aperitif and a meal box prepared by a local restaurant. "For two hours, I can answer guests' questions about trends, materials, and other design topics," Gessier describes. This format allows for personalized consultation in a relaxed, social setting.

The museum after-work event requires advance registration and costs 60.90 euros per person. Interested participants can register by calling 06 11 86 93 33 or visiting the Horizon Coquelicot website. Through these diverse event offerings, Gessier aims to build awareness of her artistic approach to interior decoration while creating meaningful connections with potential clients in Brittany's competitive design market.
