The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA) will host a public dialogue on February 11 at the MMCA Seoul's Multi-purpose Hall as part of the selection process for the final winner of "Korea Artist Prize 2024." This event will bring together the four finalist artists—Kwon Ha Yoon, Yang Jung Wook, Yoon Ji Young, and Jane Jin Kaisen—along with both domestic and international judges for an open discussion.

The event will allow the finalists to present their artistic perspectives and creative methodologies in their own words. Additionally, a Q&A session will be held, where the artists will respond to inquiries from the jury panel as well as the public. Some of the questions will be selected from visitor-submitted queries gathered during the "Korea Artist Prize 2024" finalist exhibition, which has been on view at MMCA Seoul since October 25, 2023. Audience members attending in person will also have an opportunity to pose questions directly to the artists. Those interested in attending can register via the MMCA website.

"Korea Artist Prize," established in collaboration with MMCA and SBS Foundation, is one of South Korea’s most prestigious contemporary art awards, aimed at recognizing innovative artists who push the boundaries of contemporary visual culture. Each year, four finalists are selected to present their works in a dedicated exhibition before the final recipient is chosen.

The final winner of this year’s edition will be announced on February 13. With the finalists’ works already attracting significant attention, the upcoming discussion is expected to offer valuable insights into their artistic philosophies while heightening anticipation for the selection of this year's honoree.
