SEVENTEEN member Vernon has ventured into songwriting, contributing lyrics to Yugyeom’s new single “Sweet Like”, which is set to drop on December 18 at 6 PM (KST) on major music platforms. The digital single marks Yugyeom’s return to the music scene after a 10-month hiatus.
Vernon’s involvement in the project adds a fresh dynamic to the collaboration, blending Yugyeom's signature R&B sound with Vernon's lyrical creativity. A representative from AOMG shared, “Vernon and Yugyeom will deliver a unique musical synergy that highlights new aspects of both artists' artistry.”
The anticipation for “Sweet Like” was further amplified when AOMG unveiled its first teaser video on December 17 via their official website. The teaser captivated fans with its cinematic presentation, evoking the opening sequence of a noir-inspired film. Yugyeom transforms into a compelling protagonist, exuding charismatic intensity that hints at the track’s edgy and dramatic themes.
Yugyeom has steadily built a solid solo career under AOMG, solidifying his presence in the global music market. He recently completed his successful “Trust Me” solo tour, which spanned eight cities, including Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Sydney, Manila, Jakarta, Taipei, and Tokyo.
