Kwon Eunbi, former leader of IZ*ONE and now a successful solo artist, will hold her first fan meeting in Taipei on December 22, her agency Woollim Entertainment announced on Tuesday. This marks her continued expansion as a solo artist, following successful fan meetings in Japan and Macao last year.

The upcoming event in Taipei promises to offer fans a unique experience, as Kwon Eunbi will not only perform her hit songs live but also take time to interact and chat with her fans, creating a closer bond with her audience. Her warm and personal fan meetings have become a hallmark of her solo activities, providing a more intimate glimpse into her personality and artistry.

In addition to her music career, Kwon Eunbi recently made her debut on the silver screen. She starred in the Japanese movie Unlocked: Last Hacker, which premiered in Japan last week. The film is the final installment of a three-part adaptation of Shiga Akira’s thriller novel, showcasing Kwon’s ability to take on new challenges in her career, this time as an actor. Her role in the film highlights her versatility as an entertainer and her drive to broaden her skill set beyond the music stage.

Since IZ*ONE disbanded, Kwon Eunbi has steadily made her mark in the entertainment industry as a solo artist. She debuted as a solo singer in 2021 with her first EP, and has since released three mini-albums and two single albums. Her latest single, Sabotage, was released in June and has been well received by her growing fanbase.

Kwon Eunbi’s solo work has allowed her to develop her own musical style, distinct from her time with IZ*ONE. Her discography explores a wide range of genres, often highlighting her vocal versatility and strong stage presence. Tracks like Glitch and Underwater from her previous albums showcase her affinity for synth-driven pop and intricate choreography, building her image as a sophisticated and dynamic performer.

Her ongoing success highlights the growing trend of K-pop artists pursuing diverse career paths post-group activities. Kwon Eunbi’s transition from leading a popular girl group to carving out a solo career while branching into acting exemplifies her determination and adaptability in an increasingly competitive industry.

The Taiwanese fan meeting is expected to be a significant event for Kwon Eunbi, allowing her to connect with international fans and solidify her position as a solo artist in the broader Asian music market. As more K-pop artists expand their reach across Asia, such fan events are crucial for building and maintaining an engaged, international fan base.

As the year comes to a close, Kwon Eunbi’s ventures into acting, her new music releases, and her fan engagement efforts all illustrate her drive to establish herself not just as a former idol group leader but as a multifaceted artist. The upcoming fan meeting in Taipei will likely be a key moment for Kwon to further connect with her supporters, making 2024 a pivotal year in her ongoing journey as a soloist.
