Unite Seoul 2025 to Showcase Latest Unity Technologies and Indie Game Innovations

Unity (NYSE: U) has announced that "Unite Seoul 2025" will be held on April 15 at COEX Grand Ballroom and ASEM Ballroom in Seoul. As part of Unity’s global developer conference series, this year’s event will be conducted under the theme "Create Today, Grow Tomorrow," highlighting the latest advancements in Unity’s engine, cutting-edge development tools, and a diverse lineup of over 30 technical sessions.

One of the most anticipated features of Unite Seoul 2025 is the "Unite Seoul X Indie Project" program. This initiative allows indie game developers to showcase their Unity-based projects through live presentations and on-site exhibitions. The program aims to foster a sustainable development ecosystem, enabling creators to connect directly with players and industry experts.

Developers who receive the highest audience vote during the showcase will be awarded prize money, a nomination for the Unity Awards, and a chance to participate in a mentorship program with Unity experts. Applications for "Unite Seoul X Indie Project" are open until February 27.

The event will also include postmortem sessions featuring successful Unity-based game projects. The development team behind "Bellaster," a dark fantasy 3D side-scrolling action game, will share insights into how they optimized Unity’s engine for high-intensity combat gameplay. Additionally, Eun Seop Sim, CEO of Lizard Smoothie, will discuss the development of "Shape of Dream," a MOBA roguelike praised for its challenging mechanics and high-quality 3D graphics. His session will focus on AI-powered development, Unity Gaming Services, and multiplayer implementation strategies.

Notable industry professionals will also present technical deep dives on Unity’s latest graphics engine. Min Sun Oh, a graphics and engine programmer at Com2uS, and Jin Hong Kim, a technical artist, will explore the implementation of custom SSAO rendering using Render Graph in Unity 6 and the development of a Custom Shadow Solution for Unity Render Pipeline (URP).

In addition, Unity’s global experts will hold workshops on advanced visual effects. Gary Boyle, Unity Partner Engineering Manager, will present a session on best practices for Unity’s VFX Graph, showcasing optimized workflows for enhanced particle effects. Keijiro Takahashi, Senior Advocate at Unity, will introduce six essential Unity asset packages for streamlining the creative process and improving production efficiency.

Min Seok Song, CEO of Unity Korea, emphasized Unity’s commitment to supporting creators worldwide:
