Mgame, led by CEO Kwon Yi Hyung, has officially launched its 2D side-scrolling martial arts MMORPG, Ghost Soul M, on November 21 across Google Play, Apple App Store, and One Store. This much-anticipated mobile adaptation carries forward the essence of the original Ghost Soul, combining retro aesthetics with modern gameplay mechanics to create an engaging experience for both longtime fans and new players.
Ghost Soul M faithfully recreates the nostalgic charm of the original game with its pixelated 2D graphics and immersive martial arts fantasy. Players are drawn into a rich narrative world featuring martial arts, spirits, and adorable characters, while the game introduces unique features tailored to the mobile platform. The title enriches its foundation with elements such as dungeons, duel arenas, spirit summoning, and crafting, offering a more dynamic MMORPG experience.
Players can choose from five character classes: Warrior, Assassin, Taoist, Historian, and Archer. Future updates are expected to introduce additional factions, including the Military Order and the Devil’s Sect. Enhanced visuals, upgraded special effects, and the retention of the original background music ensure that fans of the original title feel right at home.
The game’s pre-registration, which began on September 26, surpassed 2 million sign-ups, underscoring significant anticipation within the gaming community. Mgame has actively engaged with its audience through its official lounge and YouTube channel, fostering strong connections and building excitement for the launch.
To celebrate the release, Mgame is running a login event until December 4, offering players daily in-game rewards. On the eighth day, participants can receive a 10-time summon ticket for standard and ancient spirits. Another promotional event encourages players to upload photos of Ghost Soul M advertisements from buses and subways to the official lounge, with milestones unlocking special rewards like premium sharpening tools and legendary materials. Additionally, One Store users can enjoy a 15% discount on downloads and in-app purchases until November 23.
Chief Director Jo Kwang Chul shared his thoughts on the launch, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support. “The anticipation and encouragement from fans reminded us of the enduring strength of the original IP. We poured our hearts into this project to deliver an experience that both honors the past and offers something fresh for new players,” he said.
For longtime fans, Ghost Soul M promises to revive the nostalgic magic of the original game, while newcomers are introduced to its distinct blend of retro charm and modern innovation. The game is now available for download on Google Play, Apple App Store, and One Store, with detailed information accessible through its official lounge and YouTube channel.
