On November 19, BigHit Music announced via Weverse that Soobin, a member of the K-pop group TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), will temporarily suspend his activities to focus on recovery and rest. The decision follows recent concerns about Soobin’s health, as he reported experiencing symptoms of fatigue. Medical professionals advised him to take a sufficient break to regain his strength and well-being.

According to the statement, while Soobin expressed a strong desire to continue performing, his health was prioritized after discussions among the agency, Soobin, and his fellow TXT members. As a result, Soobin will be taking an indefinite break from scheduled activities, including the upcoming MAMA Awards, Japan-based offline fan events, the ACT: PROMISE ENCORE tour in Japan, and a fan signing event in Shanghai.

BigHit Music extended apologies to TXT’s fans, known as MOA, for the sudden news, acknowledging the concern it may cause. The agency expressed its gratitude for fans' understanding and assured them that every effort is being made to support Soobin’s recovery. “We are committed to ensuring that Soobin can return to his fans in good health,” the agency said, emphasizing their dedication to the artist’s well-being.

This temporary hiatus will allow Soobin to take the necessary time to rest, recuperate, and regain his health. The agency reassured fans that Soobin is expected to maintain a calm and balanced lifestyle during this period, with the full support of BigHit Music, as he focuses on making a healthy return to his musical career.

Despite Soobin’s absence, TOMORROW X TOGETHER remains on track for key upcoming engagements. The group will perform as the only K-pop boy group at Japan’s prestigious NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen on December 31. This annual event is one of Japan’s most celebrated year-end television programs, featuring leading artists who have made a significant impact over the year.

Soobin’s hiatus underscores the increasing focus within the K-pop industry on artists’ mental and physical well-being, as the demanding schedules and global exposure can often lead to health issues. The decision to prioritize Soobin’s health reflects BigHit Music’s commitment to supporting their artists in the face of intense industry pressures. The agency’s transparent communication with fans also emphasizes the mutual respect and trust between TXT and their MOA fandom.

Fans worldwide have expressed their support for Soobin on social media, sending messages of encouragement and understanding. MOAs are hopeful that this time off will provide Soobin with the rest he needs to make a full recovery, eager to see him return in good health and spirits.

The announcement has highlighted the close bond between Soobin and his fans, with MOAs voicing their unwavering support as they await his return. As TOMORROW X TOGETHER continues with their scheduled appearances, Soobin’s well-being remains a top priority, underscoring the importance of balancing professional commitments with health in the fast-paced K-pop industry.
