K-pop group TWS has solidified their position as one of the most promising acts in Japan, achieving a significant milestone with their latest single Last Bell.

According to Oricon’s latest weekly combined single ranking (dated December 16, tracking data from December 2 to December 8), TWS’s debut single Last Bell claimed the top spot. The single also ranked first on Oricon’s weekly singles ranking released on December 10, earning the group their first-ever double crown on the Oricon charts.

The combined single ranking evaluates CD sales, digital downloads, and streaming numbers, converting them into points. Last Bell amassed a remarkable 77,346 points in its first week, nearly doubling the 40,622 points achieved by their previous release, Summer Beat! This surge reflects the group’s rapid ascent in the Japanese music market.

Released on November 25, Last Bell serves as a fitting conclusion to TWS’s electrifying debut year. The single is described as a heartfelt gift to fans who supported them throughout the year. Its title track, Final Festival, is a refreshing winter anthem that reinterprets the essence of the hit song by Seo Taiji and Boys with a modern twist. Featuring dreamy synth sounds and celebratory fireworks effects, the song captures the vibrant spirit of winter.

TWS’s momentum continues to grow as they prepare for appearances at major year-end events. The group is slated to perform at SBS-TV’s Gayo Daejeon on December 25, the 9th Asia Artist Awards on December 27, MBC-TV’s Gayo Daejejeon on December 31, and the 39th Golden Disc Awards on January 4.

As TWS wraps up their debut year, their impressive achievements on the Oricon charts and their growing recognition in Japan mark a new chapter in their rise as global stars.
