
K-pop sensation ATEEZ continues to dominate the international music scene, earning high praise from renowned global media outlets. With the release of their 10th mini-album Golden Hour: Part 1 and 11th mini-album Golden Hour: Part 2 this year, the group has cemented their reputation as one of the most innovative and impactful acts of their generation.
On December 11, UK-based music publication NME unveiled its "25 Best K-pop Songs of 2024," placing ATEEZ's Golden Hour: Part 1 title track “WALK” at 19th—the only entry from a fourth-generation boy group. Highlighting the song's unforgettable opening lyrics, NME remarked, “Few things resonate as deeply as the relentless struggle captured in 'WALK.' It stands as one of the year’s most compelling musical moments.”
The review further noted the track’s intricate composition, stating, “The clarinet melody at its core accentuates the atmospheric verses and assertive rap sections. This song not only underscores ATEEZ’s musical prowess but also showcases their ability to surprise and innovate within their established identity.”
American magazine Teen Vogue named the group’s Golden Hour: Part 2 title track “Ice on My Teeth” among its "15 Best K-pop Music Videos of 2024." Praising the group’s artistry, the publication wrote, “ATEEZ has consistently proven that they are not to be underestimated throughout their career.” The article also emphasized the visual sophistication of the music video, which features opulent costumes, ballet performances, and grandiose mansion settings, inviting viewers to rewatch it for a deeper appreciation.
Further accolades came from U.S.-based music outlet Consequence, which ranked “WALK” at an impressive 51st on its "200 Best Songs of 2024" list, marking the highest placement for a K-pop artist. Additionally, Billboard recognized “Ice on My Teeth” as third on its "25 Best K-pop Songs of 2024: Staff Picks."
As ATEEZ continues to gain global recognition for their musical and visual storytelling, they are also connecting with fans through immersive experiences. Beginning December 12, the group is hosting the media art exhibition Destiny's Memories at Seoul’s EoB Studio, running until January 19.
