Supercat announced on December 12 that its AI-powered game creation platform, Punkland, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PIP Labs’ IP-focused blockchain platform, Story. The collaboration aims to redefine game development by combining user-friendly AI tools with blockchain-based intellectual property (IP) management systems.
Story is a Layer 1 blockchain optimized for the AI era, boasting $140 million in cumulative funding, including investments from global venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). The platform enables creators to use IP freely without intermediaries and currently supports over 200 teams developing services within its ecosystem.
Under the agreement, the two companies will create an AI-driven, user-friendly game development environment while integrating a blockchain-based system for managing game asset IPs. They plan to share technology and expertise, conduct joint marketing campaigns, and expand their collaboration across multiple areas.
Supercat will register games, assets, and resources developed on Punkland as IPs within the Story platform, streamlining the modularization of game development. This approach aims to lower the barriers to game creation, enabling developers to assemble and launch games as easily as building with LEGO blocks. Punkland is set to pioneer the concept of remix games based on its platform.
Story will oversee the registration and management of all Punkland game elements on its blockchain. Additionally, the platform will allow Punkland developers to access over 20 million pre-registered IPs for use as game components, further enriching the creative possibilities.

Ha Young Min, team leader of Punkland, emphasized the platform’s mission to simplify game development. “Punkland has consistently worked to lower the barriers to game creation with AI-based tools and updates. Through this partnership with Story, we aim to further modularize game development, making it even easier and faster for developers to create and deploy their games.”
Punkland positions itself as the “world’s easiest game development platform with AI.” It offers tools like AI image generation and automatic translation to simplify the game creation process. With over 110,000 games, 1.5 million users, and 10,000 developers in its community, the platform has amassed 47 million cumulative hours of gameplay. This collaboration with Story is poised to push its innovative approach to new heights.
