BLACKPINK’s Rose is set to release a highly anticipated collaborative single with pop sensation Bruno Mars. The new track, titled APT, will drop at 1 p.m. on Friday, as confirmed by her agency, The Black Label. This collaboration is generating significant buzz, marking Rose’s first major release since her 2021 solo debut.

The Black Label heightened anticipation by posting a teaser image featuring both Rose and Bruno Mars on Instagram, further exciting fans of both artists. APT will be the leading single ahead of Rose’s debut full-length album Rosie, which is slated for release on December 6. Rose played an integral role in the creative process, participating in the songwriting for all 12 tracks on the album, and sharing personal and heartfelt stories, according to her agency.

Rose’s career has been nothing short of remarkable. She first debuted in 2016 as the main vocalist of BLACKPINK, one of the most globally successful K-pop groups. She then ventured into her solo career in 2021, making waves with the single R. The lead track from the album, On The Ground, achieved global success, topping the Billboard Global 200 chart and peaking at No. 70 on the Hot 100. This set a record for the highest-charting song by a female K-pop solo artist.

While R solidified her as a powerhouse in the K-pop scene, Rose has not released additional solo albums since. However, in June, she signed with The Black Label to manage her solo career while continuing her activities with BLACKPINK under YG Entertainment. This strategic move has allowed her to focus on her musical identity while still maintaining her role in BLACKPINK.

Further cementing her global ambitions, Rose recently signed with the prestigious American record label Atlantic Records, expanding her presence in the international music market. This deal signals her intent to grow her career beyond K-pop and into the broader global music scene.

The collaboration with Bruno Mars is expected to be a defining moment in her solo career, blending her unique vocal talents with Mars’ signature pop-funk style. The combination of these two globally renowned artists has sparked curiosity about the sound and style of APT. Fans are eager to see how their musical styles will complement each other in this groundbreaking track.

As Rose prepares to release APT and her debut full-length album, her career is poised to reach new heights. This upcoming collaboration is not only a milestone for her as an artist but also for the ever-expanding reach of K-pop into the global music scene.
