ILLIT is set to surprise fans with a special release—the Korean version of their Japanese original song.
On March 10, Belift Lab announced that ILLIT’s Japanese single Almond Chocolate will be released in Korean at 6 PM KST on major streaming platforms. The song, known for its upbeat sound and fresh vocal delivery, originally served as the theme song for the Japanese film I Don’t Like You Just Because of Your Face (얼굴만으로 좋아하지 않습니다).
The track has already proven its success in Japan. Upon release, Almond Chocolate secured a high-ranking position on Oricon’s Daily Digital Single Ranking and topped Spotify Japan’s Daily Viral Chart. Its strong performance in local charts showcased the group’s growing presence in the Japanese market.
Belift Lab expressed high hopes for the Korean version, stating, "With its bright and cheerful melody and delicate lyrics, the song is perfectly suited for White Day. We anticipate it will become a new seasonal favorite."
The agency further emphasized, "The Korean version retains ILLIT’s signature charm, and we hope this release will be a meaningful gift for both domestic and international GLIT (ILLIT’s fandom)."
