IVE has officially entered the countdown for their highly anticipated comeback. On January 29, Starship Entertainment unveiled a group concept photo for the group’s third EP, "IVE EMPATHY," through their official website, hinting at a bold and refreshing new era.
The concept photo exudes a playful and kitschy charm, with each member showcasing funky styling and photogenic confidence. The six distinct visuals highlight IVE’s evolving artistic direction while amplifying anticipation for the upcoming release.
The title track, "ATTITUDE," embodies IVE’s signature mindset—embracing unchangeable situations with confidence and positivity. The song boasts an irresistibly addictive melody that is expected to captivate listeners.
Notably, Jang Wonyoung co-wrote the lyrics alongside renowned lyricist Seo Ji Eum. A Starship representative commented, “Wonyoung’s perspective and the bold character of ‘Lucky Vicky’ create an explosive synergy, delivering an empowering message of optimism.”
This comeback follows the group’s pre-release single, "REBEL HEART," which dropped on January 13. Staying true to their established theme of self-love, IVE introduced a new sonic identity while exploring the solidarity of rebellious souls. The song narrates an empowering march of individuals embracing their unique stories, emphasizing growth, camaraderie, and shared empathy.
IVE’s latest achievements further underscore their status as one of K-pop’s leading girl groups. They recently claimed four consecutive music show wins, securing trophies on Mnet’s "M Countdown," KBS-2TV’s "Music Bank," MBC-TV’s "Show! Music Core," and SBS-TV’s "Inkigayo."
Before their official comeback, IVE will perform at MBC’s "Gayo Daejejeon" on January 30. The full EP, "IVE EMPATHY," will be released across various online and offline platforms on February 3 at 6 PM (KST). With their upcoming music, IVE is expected to further solidify their reputation as a generation-defining girl group.
