Seventeen, one of the leading K-pop boy groups, expressed their strong confidence about their latest EP, "FML," during a press release on Monday ahead of the album's release later in the day. The group stated that the album not only showcases the music they want to pursue, but also delivers a message they are passionate about. S.coups, one of the members, said in a QA session, "We hope you would like it and gain strength through it as we worked on it harder and with more confidence than ever before."

The EP, which was released at 6 p.m., is the band's first album since the release of "Sector 17," a repackaged version of its fourth full-length album, in July. "FML" comprises six tracks, including "F*ck My Life," "Fire," "I Don't Understand But I Luv U," and "April Shower."

According to Pledis Entertainment, the album's name "FML" is short for the slang "F*ck My Life," which also serves as the title of the main track. However, the agency said that the album reinterprets the phrase from a health perspective and sublimates it into an active and positive attitude rather than being buried in endless negative thoughts in bad situations.

In the QA session, Joshua, one of the members, said that "F*ck My Life" is one of the two main tracks of the album and has a positive message that clearly showcases the album's overall story. Another main track, "Super," has majestic music that is good for presenting an amazing stage performance, added Joshua.

Dino, another member, expressed his excitement about the album and said, "I got chills all over my body when I first heard 'Super.' I'm more confident than ever before and want to show Seventeen's strength." Mingyu, another member, also expressed hope to "shake the world" through the band's future activities with the album.

According to the agency, pre-orders for "FML" have already surpassed 4.64 million copies, making it the highest-preordered K-pop album of all time. With their latest release, Seventeen is expected to continue their global success and reach new heights in the music industry.
