The second edition of Maison&Objet Intérieurs Hong Kong is set to return from December 3-6, 2025, establishing the city as Asia's premier destination for design, lifestyle, and international collaboration. The expanded event will operate under the central theme of "Crossroads," celebrating the intersection of culture, traditional craftsmanship, and cutting-edge sustainable innovation.
The exhibition's comprehensive program delivers three core experiences: Inspiration, Discovery, and Encounters. At the heart of the event lies the Design Factory, conceived as a true laboratory of ideas and serving as a curated space dedicated to both surprising and inspiring visitors. This innovative section artfully presents features, objects, and furniture that offer proactive solutions for the modern world.
The Design Factory focuses intensively on sustainability, material innovation, and cultural exchange, bringing together more than 200 creations from around 80 brands. This immersive experience is delivered through four specialized pavilions, each curated by a global visionary, spanning a total of 900 square meters.
Since 1994, Maison&Objet has been a leader in the international decor, design, and lifestyle community, hosting two annual exhibitions and the celebrated Paris Design Week in September. This established authority is now being fully deployed for the Hong Kong edition, which runs concurrently with DesignInspire and BODW (Business of Design Week).
The event receives strong institutional support from the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) as the lead sponsor, cementing Hong Kong's position as the central meeting place for unfolding the future of design in Asia and beyond. To ensure a focused professional experience, the design event runs exclusively for design professionals from December 3-5, 2025, with December 6 open to the general public. Access is complimentary, but all guests must register in advance.
"Maison&Objet Intérieurs 2025 represents the crossroads of East and West, innovation and tradition, functionality and lifestyle," states Philippe Delhomme, President of SAFI/MaisonObjet. "Hong Kong is the ideal location in Asia to showcase, discover, and experience the latest trends and evolutions in design. We aim to inspire visitors with bold narratives, cutting-edge designs, and meaningful cultural exchanges. We look forward to welcoming the global design community to Hong Kong this December."
The Design Factory explores the "Crossroads" theme across four immersive pavilions, all championing a shift toward resourceful and culturally-aware creativity. The first pavilion, "Shifted Mirrors: Fragments of a Dreamed East," is curated by Clélie Debehault, Liv Vaisberg, and Ann Chan. This space explores the new discipline of collectible design, a realm at the border of art and design, presenting works from innovative designer-artists across Europe, Asia, and North America. Visitors can wander through a dreamlike habitat that blends Western and Asian influences.
The second pavilion features "Anthropocene Adhocsime," presented by Lionel Jadot, the 2024 Maison&Objet Designer of the Year. This experimental hotel suite explores the re-employment of materials and the use of local know-how to produce design works. Jadot's distinctive aesthetic is marked by critical issues of the climate crisis, showcasing a commitment of total sincerity to design.
Running parallel to this material challenge is the "Breath of Bamboo" pavilion, led by Bangkok-based master Korakot Aromdee. Aromdee masterfully implements the unique talent and know-how of Thai craftsmen, specifically highlighting how deep knowledge of a natural, renewable material like bamboo can transcend traditional craft into complex, inspiring design.
The final pavilion, "Living Matters," is presented by French trend-hunter Elizabeth Leriche, who returns with her second pavilion in Hong Kong. Through three distinct atmospheres, Leriche explores new design narratives by selecting unexpected and unique design objects and furniture sourced globally. This collection provides a personal and poetic exploration of current design trends, tying back to the Design Factory's core mission of anticipating and shaping the future of design.
Beyond the Design Factory, the event's breadth of discovery includes the Design Showcase, presenting eight showcases that reimagine hybrid functions and usages in hospitality and residential spaces. Le Club facilitates the third core pillar of "Encounters," introducing a new feature inspired by the Paris edition's business lounge. This exclusive networking hub serves industry professionals by fostering collaborations and business exchanges, completing the comprehensive experience that positions Hong Kong as Asia's definitive design destination.
