France is holding a national tribute ceremony this Thursday to honor the 132 victims of the November 13, 2015 terror attacks that shook Paris. President Emmanuel Macron will visit each of the attack sites throughout the day, culminating in the inauguration of a memorial garden in the heart of the capital city.
Among those reflecting on the tragic events is Marion Ruszniewski, a photographer who documented the aftermath at the Bataclan concert hall, one of the primary targets of the coordinated attacks. "I had to go back to take photos at the Bataclan," Ruszniewski recounted, describing her emotional return to the venue where 90 people lost their lives during an Eagles of Death Metal concert.
The November 13, 2015 attacks marked one of the deadliest terrorist incidents in French history, with coordinated strikes hitting multiple locations across Paris. The Bataclan theater became the focal point of the tragedy, where attackers held hostages during the concert before being neutralized by French security forces.
The memorial garden inauguration represents France's ongoing commitment to remembering the victims and supporting survivors and families affected by the attacks. The ceremony serves as both a solemn remembrance and a symbol of the nation's resilience in the face of terrorism.
