BLACKPINK member Rosé has achieved a major milestone in her solo career, earning multiple Grammy nominations for her collaborative hit "APT." with Bruno Mars. The track, along with "Golden" from the Netflix animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters," received nominations in several prestigious categories at the 68th Grammy Awards, including the coveted Song of the Year award.
The Recording Academy announced the 2025 Grammy nominations across 95 categories, with the awards ceremony scheduled for February 1, 2026, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Rosé's "APT." secured nominations in three major categories: Song of the Year, Record of the Year—both part of the "Big Four" general field categories—and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. This marks a significant achievement for the South Korean artist in the American music industry.
"Golden," featured in the original soundtrack of "K-Pop Demon Hunters," garnered an impressive four nominations. The song was recognized for Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Song Written for Visual Media, and Best Remixed Recording. Additionally, the film's soundtrack itself received a nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media, highlighting the growing influence of K-pop in mainstream entertainment.
The nominations extend beyond individual artists to include Katseye, an international girl group under HYBE, the parent company of BigHit Entertainment, which manages global superstars BTS. Katseye earned nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, demonstrating the continued expansion of K-pop's global reach and the success of Korean entertainment companies in developing international acts.
Further showcasing the diversity of Korean cultural exports, the award-winning original musical "Maybe Happy Ending" received a nomination for Best Musical Theater Album. This recognition spans multiple entertainment mediums, from music and film to theater, illustrating the broad impact of Korean creative content worldwide.
The final round of voting for all Grammy categories will take place from December 12 through January 5, 2026. These nominations represent a significant moment for K-pop's presence at one of the music industry's most prestigious award ceremonies, potentially setting the stage for historic wins that could further elevate Korean artists on the global stage.
